This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 550/2021 PS Uttam Nagar under Sections 498A/406/506/354/354A/34 IPC basis settlement arrived at on 18th March, 2024 with the facilitation of the Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts on 28th May, 2024, which is on record of this Court. As per the settlement, a final outstanding balance of Rs.5 Lacs is being tendered today vide DD No.249428 drawn on Yes Bank to respondent No.2, who is present in Court and duly identified by the IO. 2.

Petitioner Nos.1-5 are also present before this Court and duly identified by the IO. Respondent No.2 states that she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR.

in a divorce by decree dated 07th June, 2024. No child was born out of wedlock.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 550/2021 PS Uttam Nagar under Sections 498A/406/506/354/354A/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
