% 04.04.2019 BAIL APPLN. 466/2018 Petitioner is the husband of complainant/first informant of FIR No. 496/2017 under Sections 498-A/406/34 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at police station K.N. Katju Marg, Delhi who seeks prearrest bail in this application. While entertaining this application, interim protection was granted to petitioner, subject to his paying interim maintenance of ₹8,000/- per month. This matter was referred to mediation but unfortunately mediation has failed. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner has joined the investigation and is regularly paying the interim maintenance. BAIL APPLN. 466/2018 Page 1

Upon hearing and on perusal of the FIR of this case and status report, interim order of 26th February, 2018 is made absolute, subject to petitioner depositing a FDR in the name of complainant in the sum of ₹1,00,000/- with the trial court within four weeks from today. In the event of arrest, petitioner be admitted to bail, subject to his furnishing bail bond in the sum of ₹15,000/- with one local surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of trial court.

It is made clear that in case petitioner defaults in making the deposit of the FDR of ₹1,00,000/- with trial court then complainant shall be at liberty to get this order vacated. It is also made clear that petitioner shall not directly or indirectly try to contact complainant and if he does so, then this order is liable to be vacated.

The bail application is accordingly disposed of. Dasti.
