This is a petition under Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator in case Ref. No. DIAC/2496-D/07-19. 2.

Material on record indicates that an Arbitrator was appointed by the DIAC to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties. It is stated that since the mandate was coming to an end, a petition for extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator was filed in this Court and vide Order dated 11.08.2023 this Court granted six months' extension. Further, second application was filed under Section 29A (4) and this Court extended the time once again on 15.03.2024. The mandate is now coming to an end on 14.09.2024. It is stated by both sides that only the final arguments have to be advanced.
