This is a petition seeking quashing of FIR No. 853/2023 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Mandawali Fazalpur. 2.

The parties have arrived at a settlement dated 30.03.2024, wherein a sum of Rs. 3,00,000/- was to be paid to respondent No. 2 as full and final settlement.

Rs. 2 lakhs has already been paid and the remaining amount of Rs. 1 lakh is paid today vide DD No. 866916 dated 25.09.2024 drawn on State Bank of India.

The petitioner is present in Court and is identified by Mr. Ankur, Adv. Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and is identified by Mr. Piyush Chaudhary, Adv. and ASI Ghanshyam, PS Mandawali. 5.

There is no child born out of the wedlock.

free will without any threat, pressure, coercion or undue influence. 7.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has no objection to the quashing of the present FIR.

I am of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the FIR any further on the ground that the parties have arrived at a voluntary settlement and settled their disputes. 9.

I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings as permitted to continue any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings. 10.

In view of the aforesaid, FIR No. 853/2023 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Mandawali Fazalpur and consequential proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 11.

The petition is disposed of.
