By way of the present petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 0321/2023 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC at P.S. Vijay Vihar, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioner No.1 (husband) whereas petitioner Nos.2 to 6 are the in-laws of the complainant. 3.

Learned ASC for the State submits that in the present case, the petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim.

differences, the parties have settled their disputes and are happily living together as husband and wife. It is also submitted that the petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 have also been recently blessed with a child and that the respondent No.2 has no remaining claims or grievances against the petitioners.

The petitioners and respondent No. 2, who are present in Court, are identified by their respective counsels as well as by the I.O./SI Rajesh Kumar, PS Vijay Vihar, Delhi. Respondent No. 2 states that she has been happily residing with her husband, i.e., petitioner No. 1 and has recently been blessed with a child and as of now, she has no complaint against her husband. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 6.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
