Petitioners have filed the present petition under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 B.N.S.S., 2023 with the following prayer:- (i) Issue a writ of habeas corpus or such other appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondents to produce the daughter of the petitioner "T' and handover the custody of the daughter to the petitioner. (ii) Direct the respondents to register an FIR on the complaint of the petitioners and conduct a fair and expeditious investigation in accordance with law.

As per status report, investigating officer had met daughter of the petitioner at Muzzafarnagar Court premises on 10.09.2025 and recorded her statement wherein she stated that she had married with Mr. Ashu at Arya Samaj Mandir, Mujaffarnagar on 29.08.2025 and had also provided photographs of her marriage.

As directed, she has also joined the proceedings through videoconferencing. She submits that she is major and is of 20 years of age, her date of birth being 25.04.2005. She also reiterates that she has got married with Mr. Ashu son of Mr. Bijender Singh in an Arya Samaj Mandir with her own free will and she is living happily with her husband at Muzzafarnagar, UP.

In view of her aforesaid statement, learned Senior Counsel for petitioners does not press the present petition and seeks to withdraw the same. 7.
