This Petition under Section 29A(4) and 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, read with Section 7 of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015, has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the sole arbitrator in the Arbitration proceedings which are going on between the parties.

Material on record indicates that the Arbitral Tribunal was constituted in terms of the Order dated 16.08.2022, passed by this Court in ARB.P.625/2020.

Vide Order dated 02.03.2024, the mandate of the Learned Arbitrator was mutually extended for a period of six months, i.e. till 06.09.2024, by the parties as per section 29-A(3) of A&C Act.

parties before the Tribunal and the Tribunal has informed the parties that it would require some more time to prepare the final award. 5.

In the facts and circumstance of this case, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 06.01.2025 so that the award can be pronounced and no further extension of time would be required by the Tribunal.

The Petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
