This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.67/2023 at P.S. Punjabi Bagh West under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC basis a settlement arrived at before the Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari Courts on 23rd December, 2023. Joint statement was recorded before the Family Court stating that they have amicably resolved their disputes. The terms and conditions are noted in the said order. The decree of divorce was passed. 2.

As per the settlement, an outstanding amount of Rs.50,000/- has been handed over to the respondent No.2 in Court, vide DD No.482592 drawn on Ujjivan Small Finance Bank who duly acknowledges the same. Petitioner Nos.1-9 and respondent No.2 are present before this Court and duly identified by the IO and their respective counsels. 3.

no child was born out of wedlock.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.67/2023 at P.S. Punjabi Bagh West under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
