% 29.05.2026 The case has been taken up today as 28.05.2026 was declared a Holiday on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid).

By way of the instant petition, petitioners seek quashing of FIR bearing No. 455/2019, registered at Police Station Shastri Park, Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 376/342/506/354D/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and Section 6/21/17 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (hereafter 'POCSO Act') and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 (hereafter 'J.J. Act').

and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station Shastri Park, Delhi. 3.

The parties are present before this Court who state that they were married in the year 2019 and were staying together for the last five years. 4.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 5.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 455/2019, registered at Police Station Shastri Park, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 376/342/506/354D/34 of IPC and Section 6/21/17 of POCSO Act and Section 75 of the JJ Act and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

The present petition, along with pending application, stands disposed of.
