This is a petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("1996 Act") seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of one year for making and publishing of the final Award.

It is stated that the learned Sole Arbitrator had undergone a surgery and hence, the delay.

Ms. Dhulia, learned counsel for the respondent states that she has no objection to the present petition being allowed. The same is without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the respondent raised in the petition filed by the respondent under Section 34 of the 1996 Act being O.M.P. (COMM.) 280/2025 and without admitting any averments made in the present petition.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for the delay. For the said reasons, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of one year to conclude the arbitration proceeding and publish the final Award.
