The present petition has been filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('the Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the final arguments in the matter have been heard and the award has been reserved. He submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal expired on 6th August, 2025. He seeks extension for a period of six (6) months from today. 3.

Dr. Amit George, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent, submits that it is the case of the respondent that this is a international commercial arbitration seated in India.

Without prejudice to the aforesaid contention, counsel for the respondent has no objection to the extension being sought.
