The petitioner is invoking the writ jurisdiction of this Court seeking relief for defamation, forgery and cheating arising from the wrongful reporting of a non-existent credit card by the respondent/HDFC Bank, and thereby, causing damage to the petitioner‟s reputation and credit worthiness. 2.

No one is present for the respondent despite sending advance notice.

After hearing the petitioner, who appears in person, as also learned counsel appearing for him, the remedy does not lie in writ jurisdiction. Hence, as requested by them, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with a liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate legal proceedings against the respondent in accordance with the law.
