1. The petition has been filed seeking directions for a time-bound disposal of the proceedings in FIR no.

248/2012 under Section 419/420/468/471/120B IPC registered at PS: Indira Gandhi International Airport.

2. The FIR was registered in 2012. The charge-sheet was filed in October 2012 and cognizance was taken. Time was taken in 2014 to file the supplementary charge-sheet. Subsequently, the supplementary chargesheet was filed in 2015.

3. The matter was listed before the Trial Court for arguments on point of charge in 2016. Thereafter, the matter has been adjourned for one reason or the other for the Trial Court, details of which have been provided in the petition.

the matter is now listed for 12th November, 2024.

5. Counsel for the petitioner/accused states that it has been 12 years since the registration of the FIR and the same has been not proceeded even for arguments on charge.

6. The Court has perused the details in the Order sheets and finds it extremely surprising that the matter has been pending for arguments on charge for the last seven years. This is enough reason for directions to be given for expeditious disposal.

7. The Trial Court is directed to take prompt attention in this matter which is pending for the last 12 years, and arguments on charge have not been heard.

8. Accordingly, the parties will be heard for arguments on charge on 12th November, 2024 and thereafter, the subsequent proceedings be undertaken and disposed of within a period of nine months. This, of course, will be dependent on the other accused not taking any adjournments in the matter.

9. The discharge application which has been filed by petitioner is also pending before Trial Court and the same may also be taken up. 10.Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with the above directions. 11.Order be uploaded on the website of this Court.
