By virtue of the present petition, the petitioner inter alia seeks a direction to the learned Trial Court for speedy trial and disposal of divorce petition bearing H.M.A. No. 1342/2021 titled as Nishant Grover v. Bhawna Grover pending before the learned Family Court-01, District West Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi within a period of three months. 2.

In a nutshell, it is the case od learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondent is deliberately delaying the pending H.M.A. No. 1342/2021 on one pretext or the other. He submits that the respondent has filed an application under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 therein, though the very same respondent is already gainfully employed, and has already been granted maintenance in favour of the son vide order dated 28.06.2025 in another proceedings under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice. 5.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the respondent is ready for settlement by way of mediation before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, however, learned counsel for the petitioner, alongwith the petitioner in person, denies the said proposal. He submits that there is no element of delay on the part of the respondent. 6.

Considering that the petition of which expeditious disposal is sought vide this petition has been instituted in the year 2021 only and as per the order sheets of the said HMA No.1342/2021 filed by the petitioner reflect otherwise, as also since the H.M.A. No. 1342/2021 is proceeding before the learned Family Court on its own merits in accordance with law, to which there is no denial by learned counsel for the petitioner, in the considered opinion of this Court there is no requirement for any direction qua expeditious disposal within a period of three months. 7.

Nevertheless, in view of the fact that proceeding pertains to matrimonial dispute affecting the life and interest of the parties as also the son, the learned Trial Court is requested to make all efforts of taking up and disposing of HMA No.1342/2021 as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law, albeit, taking into account the existing daily "cause list" and overall pendency before it.
