The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking the following reliefs:

"a) Issue an appropriate order or direction as deemed just and proper, thereby directing the Sh. Sunil Gupta, Ld. Family Judge -02, South District, Saket Courts, Delhi to adjudicate and dispose of the application / petition under section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 registered as MT Cases No. 76/2022 within a time bound manner, preferably within a period of two weeks, or such other period as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, in consonance with the mandate of the proviso to Section 24 of the Act;

b) In the alternative and without prejudice to the foregoing, this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to invoke its extraordinary jurisdiction / inherent powers and grant appropriate maintenance expenses directly to the Petitioner under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 in the interests of justice, in view of the protracted delay in the present matter;" 2.

Limited relief is sought in the present petition that the proceedings pending before the learned Family Judge under Section 125 CrPC be directed to be decided expeditiously. 3.

The petitioner is stated to be senior citizen and it is pointed out that even the application seeking interim maintenance is not yet decided.

Thus, without going into the aspect as to who is the party responsible for the delay, the present petition is disposed of with a request to the learned Family Judge to expeditiously dispose of at least the application seeking interim maintenance. 5.
