The petitioners have approached this Court against notices dated 21.08.2025, by which respondent No. 1 - National Housing Bank ["the Bank"] has terminated their contractual services. It is the contention of the petitioners that their contractual services were not liable to termination simply upon one month's notice, without any cause or compliance with the principles of natural justice. 2.

Mr. Bharat Bhushan, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that the contractual appointment was for a minimum period of three years in the first instance, and such unceremonious termination places the petitioners in a predicament where they do not even have sufficient time W.P.(C) 13903/2025 Page 1 of 2 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. to find alternative employment.

Mr. A.K. Behera, learned Senior Counsel for the Bank, disputes the submissions, relying upon a clause in the appointment letters which provides for termination by either party on one month's notice. 4.

While learned counsel for the parties have joined issue as to the validity of such a clause and the procedural safeguards that must be observed in its implementation, it is not necessary to adjudicate the disputes in detail, as Mr. Bhushan and Mr. Behera, upon instructions from their respective clients, have arrived at an agreed resolution of the dispute.

Mr. Behera submits that the petitioners will stand relieved from duty at the end of the last working day, i.e. 22.09.2025, as stated in the impugned notices, but they will be paid remuneration for a further period of two months so as to alleviate the difficulties expressed. 6.

Mr. Bhushan, upon instructions, accepts a resolution in these terms. 7.

The writ petition, alongwith the pending application, is accordingly disposed of.
