% 02.02.2016 This writ petition has been filed challenging the validity of Rules 5(iii), Rule 12 and Rule 14 of the Delhi Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Rules, 2014. Though no counter affidavit is filed on behalf of the respondent/GNCTD, it is represented by Sh.Sanjoy Ghose, the learned ASC for GNCTD that in supersession of the impugned Rules notified on 26.11.2014, the Govt. of NCT of Delhi made fresh Rules vide notification dated 07.01.2016 and the same have been published in the Delhi Gazette dated 07.01.2016. A copy of the said Rules has also been placed before this Court.

Hence, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to file a

fresh petition in case necessity thereof arises. CHIEF JUSTICE JAYANT NATH, J.
