The petitioners have approached this Court assailing Clauses 2, 9 and 10 of the Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACP) dated 19.05.2009 vide which, in contrast to the Assured Career Progression Scheme (ACP), an employee is entitled to upgradation only in the available next higher grade pay as against upgradation in the pay attached to the promotional post available under the ACP Scheme.

On the last date, in view of the submission of learned counsel for the respondents that a similar petition being WP(C) 63/2024 titled as Ravish Chander & Ors. vs. Union of India & Ors. had already been dismissed by this Court on 05.01.2024, learned counsel for the petitioners was granted time to examine the said decision and make submissions.
