The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS seeking issuance of a direction in the nature of Habeas Corpus for production of the minor child, Ms. XXX.

A Status Report dated 09.01.2026 has been handed over to us by learned Standing Counsel for the State. It contains the various steps taken by the police to discover the whereabouts of the missing girl. 3.

As the investigation is still being carried out, we direct that periodic reports of this investigation of search will be filed by the respondent-State before the concerned ACMM, on a bi-monthly basis, subject to further directions of the learned ACMM.
