% 13.07.2018 Petitioner is present in Court. She has offered `5.5 lacs to respondent towards full and final settlement of all his claims involved in the cheque in question.
Learned counsel for respondent submits that this offer is acceptable to respondent and he has no objection in case the offence is permitted to be compounded.
Accordingly, the offence under section 138 Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 is permitted to be compounded and petitioner is acquitted. Let the amount lying deposited in this Court of `5.5 lacs together with interest accrued thereon, if any, be released to the respondent forthwith.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
