The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to demolish the unsafe and unsecured property situated at Municipal No. 2476, Ward No. XII, Punjabi Basti, Roshanara Road, Subzi Mandi, Delhi-110007.

Today, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner informs that the building in question has collapsed yesterday, i.e., 09th September, 2025. He, thus, submits that the debris are required to be removed, for which direction be given to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi ("MCD"). 4.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is owner of the ground floor without roof rights in the subject property. He submits that he may be granted permission to construct the building after seeking sanction from the corporation. 5.
In response to the present writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1, i.e. MCD, confirms the fact that the property in question has already collapsed. She submits, on instructions, that the MCD shall remove the debris, cost of which, shall be borne by the petitioner. 6.
Considering the submissions made before this Court, it is directed that the MCD shall take action to remove the debris from the property in question, forthwith, at the cost of the petitioner. 7.
Further, the petitioner is at liberty to apply for sanction of building plan for construction over the property in question. 8.
Noting the aforesaid, the present writ petition, along with other pending applications is disposed of.
