This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR no. 851/2023 registered at PS Paschim Vihar West, Delhi under Sections 376/506/313 1PC on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties dated 19th September, 2024, which is on record of this Court.

per the respondent no.2, on the false pretext of marriage. However, now the parties have amicably resolved their issues as per the settlement. 3.

The articles which were belonging to respondent no.2 have also been returned to her, as noted in the settlement.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 (complainant)are present in Court and are duly identified by IO and the respective counsels. 5.

Respondent no.2, on being queried states categorically that she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR, since the relationship was consensual at the time it existed and she wants to proceed ahead with her life. 6.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 851/2023 under Sections 376/506/313 1PC registered at PS Paschim Vihar West, Delhi, and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 7.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 8.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
