This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondent nos. 1 to 4 to produce Mr. Md. Basit Ansari, the missing brother of the petitioner. 2.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent nos. 1 to 4 has handed over a copy of the Status Report dated 09.03.2026, which details the efforts made by the respondents to trace out the whereabouts of the missing person. Unfortunately, he has still not been traced.
