CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV SACHDEVA

O R D E R

% 27.02.2018 1.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.50 /2018 under Sections 279/427 IPC, Police Station Ambedkar Nagar, District South, Delhi.

2.

The subject FIR was registered consequent to a minor accident, whereby the car of the petitioner hit the car of the complainant. 3.

Parties have settled their disputes through a Compromise Deed dated 24.02.2018, which has been executed between the parties. 4.

The compensation amount of Rs.10,000/- has been paid in the CRL.M.C.1030/2018

Court today.

5.

Respondent No.2 is present in Court in person, is represented by counsel and identified by the Investigating Officer. He confirms that the settlement has taken place 6.

In view of the above and keeping in view of the fact that the parties have resolved their dispute through a Compromise Deed dated 24.02.2018 and compensation amount of Rs.10,000/- has been paid and further respondent No. 2 does not wish to press his complaint, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom. 7.

Accordingly, FIR No.50/2018 under Sections 279/427 IPC, Police Station Ambedkar Nagar, District South, Delhi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. 8.
