concerned.

6.

Brief facts of the case are that on 27.06.2024, the petitioner was involved in an accident with respondent no. 2 near Dwarka, Sector-3, Delhi. Following the incident, the petitioner accompanied respondent no.2, where respondent no. 2 had been given medical treatment. Subsequently, respondent no. 2 had lodged the present FIR against the petitioner. After investigation, the chargesheet was filed before the concerned Court. During the pendency of the trial, both the parties had amicably settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts, New Delhi vide Mediation Settlement dated 18.03.2025.

7.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated that he has already received the compensation amount for the petitioner. Therefore, he has no objection, if the FIR is quashed. 8.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 302/2024, registered at Police Station Dwarka North, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 279/337 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
