versus NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION AND ANR. ..... Respondents Through:

CORAM:
HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE REKHA PALLI
O R D E R
% 27.02.2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioner has prayed for quashing and setting aside the decision taken by the respondent No.2 in its meeting held between 19.04.2016 to 02.05.2016 so far as it relates to the petitioner-institute whereby the respondent No.2 has granted approval to the petitioner-institute only for conducting one unit of D.El.Ed. Course for the academic session 2016-17 as against the prayer made by the petitioner for conducting two units of the said Course.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that aggrieved by the said order passed by respondent no.2, the petitioner had preferred an appeal with respondent No.1 on 01.11.2017 which is still pending.
Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that, at this stage, he would be satisfied if the respondents be directed to decide the petitioner's pending appeal expeditiously by passing a reasoned and speaking order. Learned counsel for the respondents does not oppose the said prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the pending appeal of the petitioner within four weeks by passing a reasoned and speaking order. Needless to state that if the petitioner is still aggrieved, he would be at liberty to take legal recourse as per law.
