This is a joint petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of arbitral award.

Learned Sole Arbitrator came to be appointed vide order dated 20.10.2020, passed in ARB.P. 306/2020.

Respective counsel for the parties jointly submit that the learned Sole Arbitrator has conducted the arbitral proceedings with expedition and dispatch, however, considerable time was consumed due to the voluminous record of the case.

Respective counsel for the parties submit that presently the matter is at the stage of final arguments before the learned Sole Arbitrator. It is jointly requested that a suitable extension of time be granted to enable the learned Sole Arbitrator to conclude the arbitral proceedings and make the arbitral award.
