The instant petition under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 have been filed by the Petitioner seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six months with effect from 17.09.2024 in the arbitration proceedings which are going on between the parties before the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that the Arbitral Tribunal was constituted on 15.12.2021. It is stated that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was last extended on 19.07.2024. It is stated that since the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has come to an end on 17.09.2024, the Petitioner has approached this Court seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for making the Arbitral Award.
