Present petition has been filed challenging Regulations 34 in Schedule IV, Regulations 5, 8, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 28 and 34 of Schedule V, and Regulations 39, 40, 41, 43, 45, 47 and 51 of Schedule XX of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Minimum essential standards, assessment and rating for undergraduate Ayurveda colleges and attached teaching hospitals) Regulations, 2024. insofar as it increases the faculties (teaching and non-teaching) and other infrastructure for under graduate colleges and attached hospitals. 2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner does not challenge the respondent's power to issue the impugned Regulations. He, however, states that the Regulations impose an excessive burden on the petitioner as well as the existing colleges. 3.

A perusal of the paper book reveals that the petitioner has made multiple representations to the respondents regarding the difficulty in implementing the MSR 2024, but no decision has been taken. 4.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to file a detailed representation with respondent No.2 within a week. In the event such a representation is filed within the stipulated time, the respondent No.2 shall decide the same by way of a reasoned order in accordance with law within three weeks. The rights and contentions of all the parties are left open.
