This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 289/2023 U/s 420/34 IPC, P.S. Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi based on settlement arrived at before the ACJM, Central District, Tis Hazari Court on 15th July 2024, which is on record of this Court.

As per the settlement for a full amount of Rs.1.05 crores, outstanding balance of Rs. 15 lakhs has been tendered to counsel for complainant in the Court today, who accepts the same on behalf of complainant, who appears through VC. Complainant states that he has no objection to quashing of the FIR in view of the settlement.

Petitioner nos.2 to 4 along with AR of petitioner no.1 are present in Court and are duly identified by IO and the counsel. Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 289/2023 U/s 420/34 IPC, P.S. Bara Hindu Rao, Delhi and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
