This petition seeks quashing of FIR No.263/2023 PS Karol Bagh under Section 376 IPC on the basis that the petitioner and complainant / respondent no.2 have since married on 10th April 2024 and certificate from Arya Samaj Vedic Sanskar Trust, Rajindra Market, Delhi has also been filed on record.

Petitioner and respondent no.2/complainant are present in the Court and have been duly identified by the IO and the counsel. 3.
Respondent no.2 states that she had known petitioner prior to the incident and the FIR was lodged on false promise to marry. She further states that since they have married she is also expecting a child; she has no objection to quashing of this FIR.

of conviction of the petitioner being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.263/2023 PS Karol Bagh under Section 376 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
