This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of six months.

Disputes arose between the parties with respect to Lease Deed dated 20.10.2019. Petitioner filed a petition under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act in this Court being ARB.P. 895/2021, which was allowed on 17.12.2021 appointing the Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes between the parties. Mandate of the Arbitrator was extended by this Court vide order dated 12.12.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 959/2024 by a period of six months, which expired on 30.07.2025. It is stated that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of recording of evidence. Issue notice.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar Mahapatra, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitrator. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 06 months from 12.09.2025 and period between 31.07.2025 to 11.09.2025 is regularized. 6.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
