This is a joint petition filed on behalf of the parties under Section 29A

(4) and (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of six months.

distribution, storage, inventory management of energy efficient appliances etc., for various States and Respondent was declared as a successful bidder in three States, whereof three Letter of Awards were issued in favour of the Respondent. Disputes arose between the parties and vide order dated 31.03.2022 passed in CS(COMM) 610/2019, on an application filed under Section 8(1) of 1996 Act, Sole Arbitrator was appointed by the Court and arbitral proceedings commenced. It is stated that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments and mandate of the Arbitrator extended by this Court on 17.01.2025 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 931/2024 has expired on 11.08.2025.

Issue notice.

Mr. Mohit Chaudhary, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitrator.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 06 months from 12.09.2025 and period between 12.08.2025 to 11.09.2025 is regularized. 8.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
