The present petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeks extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award. 4.

It is averred in the petition that the reference to arbitration was initiated on 05.02.2020, following which the arbitral proceedings commenced. It is further averred that the pleadings concerning the claims and counter-claims were completed on 09.08.2021. It is also pointed out that previously, this Court vide order dated 19.10.2023 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 528/2023 granted an extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and rendering of the arbitral award till The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Respective counsel for the parties jointly submit that the arbitral proceedings have been protracted on account of the nature of the matter characterized by intricate factual and technical issues, voluminous pleadings and extensive cross-examination of respective witnesses of the parties. 6.

Considering that the matter is at the stage of final arguments, it is jointly requested by respective counsel that a suitable extension be granted for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of arbitral award. 7.

Considering the averments made in the present petition and submissions of respective counsel, the time period for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of arbitral award is extended till 31.03.2025. 8.
