The writ petition has been preferred seeking the following reliefs:

"(a) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature thereof, thereby directing the Respondent No.2 to forward the reference of claims under Sections 30 and 31 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, on the objections filed by Shri Bhoop Singh and others, Residents of Village Bharthal, New Delhi, in view of the fact that the Petitioners or their predecessorin-interest were the Biswedars/ Proprietors, having shares in the said land, which is the Shamlat Deh land, situated in Village Bharthal, New Delhi, as per their holdings of agricultural land, in The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. proportion/commensurate thereto the said land bearing Khasra Nos.8//25/3 (1-9), 21//8/2min (0-4), 51//7-6min (1-17), 23//10/2 (19), 51//7-6min (1-17), 19//23/3 (0-19), 19//25/1 (0-15), 51//7-6min (1-17), 5//24/2 (0-18), 20//1/3 (0-8), 20//2/3 (0-8), 51//7-6min (116), 21//8/2min (0-12), 30//5/2 (1-4), 511/7-6min (1-9), 52/ II 0/3min (0-8), 51//28min (0-2), 26//24/2min (0-2), 29//5 (4-16) and 29//6 (4-16) situated in village Bharthal, New Delhi; (b) any order or further order which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper be passed in favour of the Petitioner." 2.

Bearing in mind the aforesaid, Mr. Pathak, learned counsel appearing for the Land Acquisition Collector ["LAC"] submits that subject to due verification of all facts and contentions on merits being kept open, the applications referable to Sections 30 and 31 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 shall be duly examined and further action taken in accordance with law with due expedition and preferably within a period of eight weeks from today. The statement so made is recorded and accepted.
