The instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the petitioner seeking following reliefs:- "a. Direct the respondent to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioner and her well wishers; AND b. Direct the respondent No. 2 to 5 not to harass the petitioner and not taking any criminal action against the petitioner and herwell-wishers, friends; AND c. 'Pass an order directing the respondent not to initiate. any penal and coercive proceeding against the petitioner, her friend Mr. Radhe and herwell wisher(s);"

Learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State/police submitted that the police has already received a complaint and has taken cognizance, and will act accordingly. 4.

In view of the aforesaid, the concerned SHO is directed to act upon the complaint of the petitioner and ensure her security. Mobile number of the Beat Officer shall be provided to the petitioner by the concerned SHO. The SHO is further directed to take appropriate steps to ensure security of the petitioner, failing which he shall be held liable if any harm is caused to the petitoner. If the petitioner changes her current resident, she shall inform the police station concerned.

Accordingly, with the aforesaid directions, the instant petition is disposed of alongwith pending application, if any.
