Mr. Sanjay Lao, Standing Counsel for the State, confirms that the coconvict has returned to custody. He further submits that the Petitioner's pending request for parole has been rejected by the competent authority in view of Rule 1212 of the Delhi Prisons Rules, 2018, on account of the gap between his request for parole and furlough being less than one month. 2.
Counsel for the Petitioner submits that Petitioner's father has deceased on 23rd August, 2025. Certain ceremonies and rituals are required to be performed on the 40th day, i.e., 1st October, 2025. 3.
As per nominal roll as on 21st September, 2025, the Petitioner has remained in custody for a period of 12 years, 7 months, and 22 days, and has also earned remission for a period of 2 years, 10 months, and 4 days. conduct has been found satisfactory during the past one year, and his overall conduct is also noted to be satisfactory. The Petitioner has been released on furlough on multiple occasions in the past and has not misused the liberty granted to him.

Considering the peculiar facts of the case, the Petitioner's request for parole is allowed. The Petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of 15 days, beginning from 28th September, 2025, on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of INR 10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent, subject to the following conditions:
(i) The Petitioner shall report to the concerned SHO(s) once a week on every Monday during the period of parole.
(ii) The Petitioner shall furnish his telephone number to the SHO(s) concerned, which the Petitioner will keep operational at all times. (iii) The Petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 6.
