% 15.04.2015 Status report has been filed stating that Anuja Singh has been recovered and is presently housed at Children Home for Girls, Nirmal Chhaya Complex, Hari Nagar, Delhi. She is pregnant and her statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been recorded. The Child Welfare Committee will examine the issue. It will be open to the petitioner to put forward her claim of custody of Anuja Singh before the Child Welfare Committee. In case the matter cannot be resolved, it will be open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

We clarify that we have not expressed any opinion on whether or not any criminal offence has been committed or on merits as the matter is pending investigation and may have to be decided and adjudicated as per law.
