% 06.02.2019 Notice. Respondent no.2 Mr. Pramod is present in Court along with his counsel and accepts notice. He has been identified by SI Mohd. Faizan Ghani of police station Pandav Nagar.

It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 are neighbours. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issues, which led to registration of FIR no. 460/2016 under Section 307 IPC at police station Pandav Nagar on the complaint of respondent no. 2. With the interventions of their common friends and family members, petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, vide a Compromise Deed dated 4th

December, 2017. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and he has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner. Affidavit of respondent no. 2 to this effect is on record. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
