This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioners under Section 29A

(4) and (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of mandate of learned Sole Arbitrator. 2.

As per office report, notice has been served on the Respondent through electronic mode. Affidavit of service has been filed by the Petitioners, in which it is stated that Respondent has been served through e-mail, Speed Post and courier. As far as e-mail is concerned, it is mentioned that the same has not bounced back and so far as service through Speed Post and courier is concerned, tracking reports are appended to the affidavit, which indicate delivery of notices to the Respondent. Learned counsel for the Petitioners additionally submits that Respondent, who is the Claimant in the arbitral proceedings is not appearing even before the Arbitrator.

This is the second call of the matter. None appeared on behalf of the Respondent on the first call. None appears even on the second call. It appears that the Respondent is not interested in contesting the present petition. Accordingly, the Respondent is set ex parte. 4.

It is submitted by counsel for the Petitioners that award has been reserved by the learned Arbitrator on 01.09.2025 and since mandate has expired on 10.09.2025, the same be extended to enable the Arbitrator to pass the award.

Accordingly, mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 6 months from 11.09.2025.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
