The application stands disposed of.

This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("1996 Act") seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of 6 months for making and publishing the final Award.

Mr. Bajpai, learned counsel for the respondents states that arbitral proceedings arises out of a dispute from a single transaction in lieu of two agreements signed on the same date between the same parties and the disputes which are being arbitrated do not fall within the arbitration clause and hence, are not arbitrable.

for the respondents lies within the domain of the Arbitral Tribunal and are not for this Court to adjudicate upon in a petition filed under Section 29A of 1996 Act.

If and when the respondent will have a cause of action, the same shall be seen in a petition filed under Section 34 of the 1996 Act. 5.

Additionally, a perusal of the order sheet from the arbitration proceedings shows that the parties were trying to settle the matter and hence, the delay.

In view of the aforesaid, I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for delay. Hence, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a further period of 9 months from today to conclude the arbitration proceedings.

Since the parties are desirous of exploring the possibility of a settlement, the parties shall appear before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 12.12.2025 at 4:30 p.m. 8.

The parties will explore the process of mediation for a period of 6 weeks.

The period from 16.08.2025 till today stands regularized.
