This Petition under Section 29A(4) and 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator.

Material on record indicates that the Sole Arbitrator was appointed by this Court on 06.05.2022. It is stated that the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator was further extended till 19.08.2024 for making the award. 3.

It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that final arguments have been advanced and the matter was reserved for pronouncement of award on 12.07.2024.

In view of the facts of the present case, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator till 31.03.2025 so that the award can be pronounced.
