By the present petition, the petitioner prays for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant terminal posting to the petitioner either at Composite Hospital Chandigarh or at Western Command Headquarters Chandigarh. The petitioner is due to superannuate on 30.09.2026.

The learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on advance notice, submits that at the time of Joint Establishment Board (JEB-2024), the petitioner was not eligible for the terminal posting. Therefore, his case will only be considered in JEB-2025, which is scheduled to be conducted in January-February, 2025. 3.

In view of such statement, the petition is disposed of directing the respondents to place the case of the petitioner before JEB-2025 for consideration of his prayer for terminal posting.
