Writ Petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ('BNSS') has been preferred on behalf of the petitioner with the following prayers: "A.

Call the Trial Court Record, if required.

B.

Issue an appropriate Writ/Order thereby directing the Trial Court (i.e. Hon'ble Court of MsVidhi Gupta Anand, Ld. CJM, Karkardooma Court, New Delhi) to expedite and conclude the trial of the present case (i.e. NO.87/2020 DATED 12.03.2020 REGISTERED U/S 182/211/406/34 IPC AT P.S. SHAHDARA, in a fixed time frame on day to day basis, in the interest of Justice."

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner is aged about 84 years and FIR No.0087/2020, under Sections 182/211/406/34 IPC registered at P.S. Shahdara at his instance is still pending at the stage of consideration of charge. He prays that appropriate directions be issued to the learned Trial Court to consider the arguments on the point of charge in a time-bound manner.

Learned ASC for the State appears on advance notice and submits that he has no objection, in case, a time-bound directions are issued. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case as well as the age of the petitioner, learned Trial Court is directed to consider the arguments on the point of charge expeditiously, preferably within a period four weeks from the date fixed before the learned Trial Court. Petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.

A copy this order be forwarded to the learned Trial Court for information and compliance.
