This Public Interest Litigation petition has been filed seeking a direction from the Court to the respondents to repair two stretches of roads. We have been informed that one stretch of road falls within the jurisdiction of Municipal Cooperation of Delhi (hereinafter referred to as 'MCD') and the other stretch of road is being maintained by the National Highway Authority of India (hereinafter referred to as 'NHAI') and certain work is to be executed by Public The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The instructions received by the learned counsel for MCD is taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing for the MCD on instructions, has stated that six Notice Issuing Tender (hereinafter referred to as 'NIT') are to be notified for repair of the stretch of the road which falls within the jurisdiction of the MCD out of which, five NITs have been issued and so far as sixth NIT is concerned, in principle approval has been granted by the Competent Authority of MCD. He has also stated on instructions that in respect of one such NIT, work order has also been issued.

Accordingly, we note that the repair work has started, so far as the stretch of the road in question, which is in the jurisdiction of the MCD, is concerned. 5.

Learned counsel for the NHAI, on instructions, has stated that the stretch of the road lying in its jurisdiction was handed over by the Delhi Government on 01.11.2025 and adequate steps are being taken to repair the same. He further states that however, some work relating to construction of storm water drainage is to be done by the PWD. He has further stated that the PWD and the NHAI are working in cooperation with each other and adequate steps shall be taken to repair this stretch of road as well, as early as possible. 6.

In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of in terms of the statement made by the learned counsel representing the MCD, the Delhi Government and the NHAI.
