This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- "a) Pass writ, order, direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to take legal action in accordance with the provisions of DMC Act, in respect of unauthorized construction in nature of toilet, bathroom and staircase on the common gali/passage between house no. 53 and 54, Gali no.3 Karawal Nagar Extension, b) Pass writ, order, direction in the nature of prohibition thereby directing the respondents to prohibit any unauthorised construction on the common gali/passage between house no. 53 and 54, Gali no.3 Karawal Nagar Extension." 2.

The learned counsel for the respondent No. 3/Municipal Corporation of Delhi (North) is directed to remove the structure completely and expeditiously and in any case not later than 8 weeks from today. 4.

With these directions, the petition is disposed of, along with pending applications if any.

In case the needful is not done, the petitioner will be at liberty to revive the petition.
