This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking a limited relief for a direction to the Respondents to pass a final judgment in Appeal Case No.2/55/2014 under Section 85 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, which is pending before the Respondents.

It is the case of the Petitioner that arguments were heard in the appeal on 11.01.2022, whereafter final order was reserved but till date the same has not been pronounced.

Ms. Mamta Yadav, learned SDM, who is presently holding the post is present in Court and submits that hearing in the matter has been fixed for 25.11.2024 and the matter will have to be re-heard. She assures the Court that final order will be pronounced within ten days from 25.11.2024 and will be communicated to the Petitioner within a week thereafter. 6.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of taking the assurance on record. Petitioner will be at liberty to take appropriate remedies in case of any surviving grievance.

Mr. Anupam Srivastava hands over a copy of the order dated 17.01.2024 passed by the Supreme Court in Rajanti Devi @ Rajanti Kumari vs. The Union of India, Miscellaneous Application No.2578/2023 in SLP (Criminal) Diary No.43646/2023, wherein certain guidelines have been laid down. Copy of the directions passed by the Supreme Court will be sent to the Divisional Commissioner by the learned ASC for onward circulation to the Sub-Divisional Magistrates concerned for compliance in letter and spirit.
