The present petition is filed by the petitioner essentially seeking protection of her life and liberty.

It is stated that the petitioner and Respondent Nos. 5 to 8 are family members and they are involved in certain matrimonial as well as property disputes. The petitioner is a senior citizen and wife of Respondent No.5. Respondent Nos. 6 and 7 are the petitioner's elder son and his wife. Respondent No. 8 is the other daughter in law of the petitioner, that is, wife of the petitioner's younger son.

It is alleged that the petitioner along with her younger son were forcibly evicted from her matrimonial home on 26.04.2025. It is further alleged that the petitioner was physically manhandled and assaulted. Allegedly, the petitioner was also verbally abused using filthy language. Certain other allegations have also been made in the complaint given by the petitioner. It is stated that the petitioner is residing with her daughter at this stage. The petitioner apprehends serious threat to her life and liberty.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that considering that the petitioner is a senior citizen, the phone number of the concerned beat officer as well as concerned SHO will be provided to her and she would be at liberty to contact them in case she apprehends any immediate threat to her life. He further states that since the petitioner is a woman, officers will also be sensitized that prompt action is required to be taken in accordance of law in case any such complaint is received.

He submits that the present writ petition would be treated as a representation, and if required, appropriate action will be taken without any delay.

Considering the above, no further orders are required to be passed at this stage. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observations.

Pending applications also stand disposed of.

Needless to say, the petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court in case any grievance remains in future.
