O R D E R

The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, a contractor engaged in the business of providing civil maintenance services to various government, semi-government and private organizations, seeking the following prayers:

"(a) grant a writ of mandamus or such other writ directing the Respondents to consider communications/ representations sent by the Petitioner to Respondents in respect of twenty-six (26) work orders issued by the Respondent No.1 to the Petitioner including last email communication dated August 26, 2025 and give a reasoned response thereto and in that behalf.

(b) pass such further orders and or directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, appropriate and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case."

It is submitted that the petitioner was awarded 26 work orders on 07.11.2023 for repair of vacant government accommodations across Delhi. It is the case of the petitioner that substantial work was performed however, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. requisite payment has not been made to the petitioner. 3.

The petitioner avers that only a sum of Rs.15 Lakhs has been paid to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the present petition is thoroughly misconceived and not maintainable. Without prejudice, it is submitted that a sum of approximately Rs.89,88,000/- (Rupees Eighty Nine Lakhs Eighty Eight Thousand only) has been paid to the petitioner. 5.

After some hearing, it is agreed that the work performed by the petitioner shall be measured by the respondent in the presence of the petitioner and whatever payment is found due and admissible to the petitioner shall be released. The process of measurement shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from today and the requisite payment, if any, shall be released to the petitioner thereafter. 6.

In case the petitioner is aggrieved on account of any shortfall in payment, it shall be at liberty to avail appropriate civil remedies in accordance with the law.

The petition is disposed of, in the above terms. Pending application also stands disposed of.
