This Petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner seeking extension of mandate of the Sole Arbitrator appointed by this Court on 16.05.2019 for adjudication of disputes between the parties.

It is stated that the arbitration proceedings is at its fag end. 3.

Learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent states that he has no objection to the extension of mandate of Sole Arbitrator. conduct of the Respondent.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that these contentions are not germane to the prayers made in the petition and theses contentions may be expunged from the petition.

Resultantly, other than those averments which are relevant for extension of time, all the allegations regarding the conduct of the Respondent are expunged.

This Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator for a further period of eight months from 17.10.2024, so that the award can be pronounced and no further extension of time would be required by the Sole Arbitrator.

The Petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
